One of our newest ventures to help our clients with self sufficiency was the collaboration of the YWCA and DDB in purchasing a van.
On Friday, March 29, 2008 Downtown Daily Bread and the YWCA of Harrisburg cemented a new collaboration to help individuals on their journey to stability and self-sufficiency. With the DDB purchase of a 12 passenger van to be shared, maintained and driven by the YWCA, mutual clients will have transportation to their places of employment and to any employment-related appointment or service.
“Collaboration is a beautiful thing because it allows us to provide services to more people in creative and efficient ways,” DDB executive director Elaine Strokoff said.
